Building Construction Description

- Fireplace in master bedroom is granite field stone with dark mortar joints. This is also a Rumford fireplace and produces lots of heat.
- Grade A yellow pine flooring, hand selected and grain matched, has a wonderful aged patina now
- The main deck is 24’ x 24’ in size and is built of pressure treated lumber for long term durability. Classic spindle handrails built extra strong, galvanized and stainless fastened. This deck was designed to allow a mature maple tree with 3 trunks to continue growing through the deck. This tree produces wonderful shade in the summer and spectacular red foliage in the fall. Lots of westerly light in the winter.
- The front entrance is custom built of mahogany. The front door is 3-6 x 7-0 providing a grand entrance with sidelights and great access for oversized furniture.
- Brick sidewalk and steps provide a classic New England feel as you approach the front door.
- A Portico with 2 columns and a gable roof provide a striking entrance and good protection
- Heating system is a 220,000 BTU hot water boiler with base board heat. The house is very efficient to heat. There are 2 – 280 gal. steel fuel tanks which allows for a generous reserve.
